Privacy Policy

• VoiceKey uses your microphone only when you press record to create your message.
• Audio you record is sent to our backend to transcribe and generate a message.
• We do not sell personal data. We aim to minimize what we store.
• We use analytics (PostHog) to understand how the app is used and improve the service.

Microphone / audio recordings. If you use VoiceKey's voice features, the app records audio and uploads it for transcription.

Text you provide. We process transcribed text and your prompt (what you want to say) to generate the message you'll send.

Technical identifiers. We may process basic device/network identifiers to enforce rate limits and quotas (for example an anonymous install id and IP address).

Analytics data. We collect anonymized usage data through PostHog analytics to understand how users interact with the app, including events like app opens, recording sessions, message generation, and subscription activity. This helps us improve the product and user experience.

• Provide the core functionality: transcription and AI message generation.
• Prevent abuse and enforce daily limits / subscriptions.
• Operate and secure the service (debugging, reliability).
• Analyze usage patterns to improve features and user experience (via PostHog analytics).

VoiceKey uses third-party AI services (for example OpenAI) to transcribe audio and generate text. This means your audio and/or text is shared with those providers solely to perform the requested processing.

If you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by Google Play. We may receive and verify a purchase token to confirm your subscription entitlement. We do not receive your full payment card details.

We use PostHog, a third-party analytics service, to collect and analyze usage data. PostHog helps us understand how users interact with VoiceKey, including features used, errors encountered, and general app performance. This data is anonymized and used solely to improve our service. PostHog is hosted in the EU and complies with GDPR. For more information, see PostHog's Privacy Policy.

We aim to retain data only as long as needed to provide the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Operational logs may be retained for a limited period.

• You can stop using voice features at any time by not granting microphone permission or by revoking it in system settings.
